Ablution Basin AEV : Stainless Steel is the most widely used type of steel in today’s medical industry. There are various stainless steel quality and standards.
Varieties of stainless steel are AISI 301, AISI 302, AISI 304, AISI 316, 321, 430 etc.
AISI 304 Cr – Ni is mainly used in manufacturing of Ablution Basin AEV. Satinless Steel grades of AISI 304 and AISI 316 are included in this group. AISI304 has 18% Chromium and 10% Nickel, and such stainless steels show excellent corrosion resistance.
AISI 316 is an austenitic stainless steel type which contains 17% chromium, 12% nickel and 2,2% molybdenum in its composition and can be used in more severe corrosive environments such as chlorine environments where 304 is insufficient.
AISI 304 quality materials are preferred and recommended for Ablution Basin AEV in medical industry.
AISI 430 quality and AISI 304 quality satinless steel types are very similar.
To understand the type of raw material , a magnet is held on the surface of the Ablution Basin AEV. If the magnet is sticking, it will be understood that the raw material of the Ablution Basin AEV is AISI 430 quality.
However the best and most accurate result is reached by test the raw material in laboratory. It is possible to determine a small piece of raw material and test it in laboratory.
